African Black Soap (alatasemina) originates from West Africa.  The soap is made from the ash of locally harvested plants and barks such as plantain skin, cocoa pods, palm tree leaves, and shea tree bark. Carefully prepared by the local women with water, oils/ butter such as shea, coconut. We added moisture with oils and butter to for a gentle cleansing experience without drying the skin.
